Delete Your Account

You can delete your PursuitMate account yourself, at any time, from inside the app. If you no longer have the app installed, you can ask us to delete it for you. Both routes are described below, along with exactly what is removed and what is kept.
1.Delete it yourself, in the app
This is immediate and needs no one’s approval:
- Open PursuitMate and go to Profile.
- Tap Edit Profile.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account.
- Confirm on the dialog that appears.
Your profile is anonymized as soon as you confirm, and you are signed out. There is no waiting period and nothing to email us about.
2.Request deletion without the app
If you have uninstalled the app or cannot sign in, email support@pursuitmate.app from any address, with the subject “Account deletion request”, and include the phone number the account is registered to so we can identify it.
We will verify that the request genuinely comes from the account holder before deleting anything — deleting on an unverified request would itself be an attack. We acknowledge within 24 hours and complete verified requests within 15 days, in line with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
3.What is deleted, and what is kept

Why the phone number is kept for 6 months
PursuitMate puts strangers in the same room in the real world, so the safety record has to outlive the account. If deleting an account also erased its Trust Score and the number attached to it, anyone removed for harming another user could be back within minutes under a fresh profile with a clean history. The number is held internally for that single purpose, is never shown to another user, and is permanently deleted after 6 months.
4.Before you go
Deletion cannot be undone, and your XP and rewards do not come back if you sign up again later. If the problem is a specific person rather than the app, you can block them from the chat menu or report a post from its detail page — both take effect straight away.
