Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how PursuitMate Technologies ("PursuitMate", "we", "us") collects, uses, shares, and protects your information when you use the PursuitMate app and services (the "Platform"). By using the Platform, you consent to the practices described here.
1.Information We Collect
- Account & identity: phone number (for authentication), display name, gender, and date of birth (to confirm you are 18+).
- Profile: profile photo, your city/state/country, vibe answers, and optional corporate email (for verification only).
- Location: with your permission, your GPS location to confirm your city and show local plans, and the meeting points you choose for your plans.
- Content: posts (plans), messages, images, requests, and feedback you create.
- Usage & device: app interactions, device push token (for notifications), and basic technical/log data.
2.Phone Number Anonymity
We collect your phone number strictly for account authentication. Your phone number is never shown to other users. If you choose to share your phone number, social handles, or personal details in chats or posts, you do so at your own risk.
3.Location Data
With your explicit permission, we use your GPS location to verify your city and surface nearby plans. We obfuscate your exact coordinates by default and only reveal an exact meeting point when you explicitly choose to make it public. You can revoke location permission at any time in your device settings.
4.How We Use Your Data
We use your information solely to operate the Platform: to authenticate you, match you with local plans, enable chat, calculate your community Trust Score, run safety and content moderation, send notifications, and prevent fraud and abuse.
5.Legal Basis & Consent
We process your data on the basis of your consent and to perform our service to you, in line with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and other applicable law. You may withdraw consent by deleting your account, subject to the retention rules below.
6.Data Sharing & Third-Party Services
We do not sell your personal data, phone number, or location history to data brokers or advertisers. We share data only with the service providers that power the Platform, and only to the extent needed to run it:

These providers process data under their own terms and security commitments. Some processing may occur on servers outside India.
7.Data Retention & Deletion
You may delete your account at any time from within the app. Upon deletion, your public profile is immediately anonymized. To prevent banned users from evading enforcement, your phone number and Trust Score history are securely retained internally for 6 months before permanent deletion. XP and rewards are wiped on deletion. We may retain limited data longer where required by law.
8.Your Rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and you may withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, use the in-app account controls or contact our Grievance Officer below.
9.Children
PursuitMate is strictly for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If we learn that a minor has created an account, we will terminate it and delete the data.
10.Security
Your data is stored on encrypted, access-controlled infrastructure provided by our service providers. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information.
11.Grievance Officer
In accordance with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and applicable Rules, and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you may contact our Grievance Officer with any privacy concern or data request. We acknowledge complaints within 24 hours and resolve them within 15 days.

12.Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, notify you in the app. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
